Dawn Watson

Dawn Watson is a dedicated operations leader and Director of Custodial Services for Sylvania Schools, bringing more than 20 years of experience in team leadership, operational management, and organizational excellence. Since 2004, she has played a critical role in ensuring safe, efficient, and high-performing learning environments across the district.

Dawn oversees daily operations, budget management, resource allocation, and regulatory compliance while leading and mentoring a large team of professionals. She is known for building collaborative cultures grounded in accountability, communication, and continuous improvement. Her leadership approach focuses on empowering staff, strengthening systems, and aligning operational strategy with organizational goals.

Throughout her career, Dawn has implemented process improvements, introduced new technologies, and developed performance tracking systems that enhance productivity and service quality. She works closely with department leaders, external partners, and community stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination and strong relationships.

With a background in Nursing and Communication from The Ohio State University and certifications including FEMA ICS, BOC, and ISSA, Dawn brings both technical knowledge and strong interpersonal expertise to her role. Her commitment to safety, compliance, and professional growth continues to drive positive outcomes for the schools and communities she serves.
